Tina Stevens’ life as a designer has provided endless opportunities for developing words, stories, artwork and design to solve business and product challenges. She has been a solopreneur making and selling products, and an entrepreneur with a successful marketing firm providing marketing, design, and web development services. Today, Tina’s marketing, design, and creative ventures are under the umbrella of Stevens Design.
As a successful entrepreneur for over 35 years, Tina has a business owner’s perspective on management, sales, and marketing. Her academic education provides a foundation for her marketing knowledge, while her years of business experience enable her to guide clients through a marketing project while understanding their daily work challenges.
Tina earned a master’s degree in advertising design from Syracuse University through their ISDP program for working professionals in the creative industry. During this unique program, Tina visited agencies across the country and in Europe, all adding to her multichannel view of marketing today.

Through marketingWORKS, Tina provides marketing services, brand development, and educational programs. With a career of experience managing a creative firm and working with a diverse mix of clients, Tina has acquired real world expertise in developing creative solutions and directing marketing plans. marketingWORKS also offers training sessions that teach individuals and organizations to utilize current media channels and digital marketing strategies to build their brand and grow their business.
studioWORKS 2017 - present
studioWorks offers a community for the creative exploration of printmaking, textile design, and product creation. Excited by the new technology that provides affordable options for textile production, Tina studied at Rhode Island School of Design to expand her design skills to include developing and preparing artwork for digital textile printing. Tina shares textile experiments and processes through workshops and presentations.
Adjunct Faculty 2014 - present
Tina’s teaching includes Principles of Marketing and E-commerce in the Business department, and Digital Design in the Art department, at Greenfield Community College. She also teaches Marketing in the entrepreneurship MBA program at Elms College. She provides students with the latest business and technical information, with the goal of developing hands-on skills and capabilities for creating their own business, providing value to an employer’s business, or providing a foundation to further their education.
Stevens 470 Marketing + Creative 1990 - 2014
Tina Stevens launched Stevens 470 Marketing + Creative in 1990. The business grew from a graphic design studio into a full service marketing, design, and web development agency, serving local and national clients with an approach that utilized marketing knowledge to inform design and communication decisions. Stevens 470 became a local leader in teaching clients how to use the new digital media channels to meet their business objectives.
In 2014, Tina transitioned Stevens 470 to a private consultancy. Several employees of Stevens 470 were assisted in launching their own ventures as part of the transition, and Tina continues to collaborate with their businesses today.
TM Stevens Textiles 1979 - 1988
Tina has been business focused from the beginning, starting her first business in Boston while studying at Mass Art and the Boston Art Institute. Tina developed a unique line of kitchen textiles hand printed and sold throughout New England. Tina’s solopreneur responsibilities included designing, hand dyeing, processing, and stitching products as well as managing the marketing, scheduling, and accounting. Tina sold her textiles at retail and wholesale, and was one of the first craftspeople invited to participate in the New York Gift Show.
